School Buses for Students

Students at Covenant Christian School Belrose come from a broad community around Sydney.

The school is well serviced by buses from most areas including Chatswood, the northern beaches and north shore areas.

Forest Coach Lines provide most school buses on the Northern Beaches and to Chatswood, Gordon and Pymble train stations. For timetables and bus passes click here.

Transdev NSW provides buses to Wahroonga and West Ryde train stations. For timetables click here.

Each school bus has a student bus supervisor. This is a Senior school student selected by staff. They have the role of liaising with students and the bus driver and looking after younger students. New students, or students without siblings may also be paired up with a Bus Buddy. The Buddy is another student who keeps an eye out for their well-being, safety and bus stop. As a result of this system more families, even with young students, make use of the school buses.

For safety reasons school buses pick up students from two separate locations each afternoon. Some buses depart from the school car park (Dell Street entrance) and others depart from the Forest Way pedestrian entrance.

School Opal Card

School students may apply for a School Opal Card. The card gives eligible students free travel between home and school on the approved train, bus or ferry service.  Applications are to be completed online on the Transport NSW website.

Go to www.transportnsw.info/school-students

Please note:

  • The School Opal Card will be deactivated for use on weekends and school holidays.
  • Should students need to travel to any other location, they would be required to either pay the fare or use a Child/Youth Opal Card.
  • Students will be required to "Tap On and Off" when travelling to and from school. The data will be captured by this action to ensure the travel is eligible between home and school.

Most Temporary Residents (e.g. 457 visa) and International Students are not eligible for a School Opal card.
