School Association

Why have an Association?

Covenant Christian School is a Christian Parent Controlled School. Our school is governed by an Association of Christian parents who share a deep commitment in maintaining and promoting the vision and mission of the school. This video helps explain some of the background and purpose of the Association.

At an operational level responsibility for maintaining and promoting the vision and mission is delegated to the members of the Board. The Board are elected by the Association members. All association members contribute to this responsibility, not least by their prayers. Association members can have a say about the direction of the school. A strong Association of supportive members ensures our school continues to teach from a biblical perspective in all areas of the curriculum as well as operate by Christian principles.

The Board’s role is to act as an interface between the staff who make the day to day operational decisions and the association parents, who set the direction and policies of the school.  The Association is governed by a Constitution which is contained in the "Memorandum and Articles of Association".

Why join an Association?

Covenant Christian School Association seeks to be a vibrant, healthy, mutually supportive community working together. By joining, you can have a say and provide direction for the ongoing vision and mission of the school. A strong association membership ensures our school continues to teach from a Biblical perspective.

The mission is assisting you and others after you to fulfil your mandate to educate, challenge and nurture our children to be disciples of Jesus Christ.

How do I join?

The first step is to download, complete and return the Membership Information Pack and Application Form below, or visit the Executive Assistant (at the front of the Principal’s office) and pick up an Association Information Pack. An active, strong association means a healthy school, where we as parents, can assist our teachers to “train our children in the discipline and instruction of the Lord” (Ephesians 6:4) and to equip them to live for God’s glory.
