The Parent Involvement Program (PIP) gives parents the opportunity to enjoy a hands-on role in the education of their children. It also helps our school to maintain its high standards and provides opportunities for community engagement.
How does it work?
Each family with students from Kindergarten to Year 12 is asked to contribute up to 24 hours per year to the life of the school. These hours can be completed by either parent and can be done at any time throughout the school year. Once you've completed your PIP hours for the year, complete the PIP Declaration of Hours form and submit it to the Office. Once this form is processed, a credit of $210 for each 6 hours of PIP will be applied to your fee account, up to a maximum of $840 for 24 hours for the year.
Before you start PIP
Before you commence your PIP hours, we require all parents to complete an annual Volunteers Code of Conduct form.
What are some examples of PIP opportunities?
There are so many ways to accumulate PIP hours. Some examples include helping at sport carnivals or gala days, canteen, exam supervision, reading groups, Cafe Covie, costume sewing, washing at home, school events and camps.
How do I find out about PIP opportunities?
Opportunities are regularly advertised in the weekly newsletter, and are included in excursion and event letters sent to parents. Class teachers and some faculties (e.g. PDHPE) may contact parents directly when specific assistance is required. You can also email your interest to the appropriate contact below.
